Meet Raissa — a passionate yogi, yoga teacher, nature lover, and student of yoga philosophy as it applies to modern life. Her signature power vinyasa yoga classes cultivate a total body awareness, focusing on functional alignment and linking breath to movement to build strength and stamina with grace and ease. Raissa encourages students to experience the practice as a sacred heart-opening journey, a deeply intentional, breathing and moving meditation. Raissa enjoys inspiring yogis of all backgrounds and abilities to discover their authentic power, presence and freedom of expression in the practice. Raissa loves to create inspiring playlists and themes for her public and private classes, retreats and special events. 

Background and Training:  Raissa began practicing Hatha yoga in 1995 as a way to keep moving and breathing as a busy working mom. Raissa began her transformative journey into Yoga Teacher Training in 2011.  Since then, she has completed over 700 hours of basic and advanced yoga teacher training and philosophy with Corepower, Shiva Rea, Mark Whitwell, Janet Stone and Rusty Wells, among others, and plans to continue studying, training, and evolving to inspire herself and others. Raissa’s public classes include classic power vinyasa flow, hot power fusion (modified bikram style), pranayama (breathwork), and restorative yoga.  Raissa’s private classes draw on her decades of yoga and movement experience to meet her clients’ specific needs and interests. Raissa’s retreats are truly inspirational. Off the mat, Raissa supports her three children to reach for the stars.
